Obonjan Festival

AT JUST 1.5km long, the low-lying island of Obonjan is a well-kept little jewel, washed by the crystal waters and scattered with luxurious bars and restaurants. There's also plenty of bespoke accommodation, a wellness sanctuary, open-air pool and unique event spaces befitting an arrival of 500 guests each year for the relaxed Obonjan Festival.

Expect several days of sun-bathing in secluded coves, elastic bending in yoga classes and attempting to get to grips with a paddle board. There will be DJs at the poolside and harbour and cocktails floating by at the Drift bar. All summer live bands will grace the open-air Amphitheatre and other special events. Its all the things you love in one place, basically. Oh, and this year we'll be there too... yeyyy!

Here's our schedule for any other aquatic souls who'd like to come say hello, listen to one of our talks or come for a swim with us:

About The Wild Swimming Brothers

The Wild Swimming Brothers are Robbie, Calum and Jack Hudson, who aim to promote conservation, re-wilding and inspire a closer relationship with the natural world through wild swimming. In 2016, the brothers became the first team to swim across two of the most powerful whirlpools in the world: the mighty Moskstraumen and Saltstraumen in Norway. Swirling violently off the Norwegian coast, on the edge of the Lofoten Islands, these two vast whirlpools possess the strongest and fastest tidal currents in the world. For Ernest at Obonjan, the brothers will be sharing tales of their adventures and leading intrepid guided swims around the island for all levels of ability.

Little brother Jack (26) - the youngest of the Hudson brothers - is an author represented by the literary agency Curtis Brown. He writes mostly for Adventure Uncovered, focusing on personal stories that link exploration and conservation. He was also the guest adventure editor at Red Bull UK. 'Swim Wild' is his debut book.
